Former Socorro Technologies, Evernorth executive will guide the organization’s technology vision.

CareCentrix, a leading home-centered care company, has named technology leader Jon Joplin as Chief Technology Officer, effective April 29, 2024.

In his role at CareCentrix, Joplin will lead the development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy—overseeing technology operations, information security, and software development, among other areas—to drive impactful business results.

Previously, Joplin served as Principal Consultant for Socorro Technologies, where he advised executives and their teams on achieving their business goals and transforming through technology, and before that, served as Chief Information Officer of Evernorth, the Health Services division of Cigna. During his time at Evernorth, Joplin worked in all areas of technology—including architecture, software engineering, and infrastructure—where he led many transformational projects and helped direct technology integration for several large M&A transactions. He also spent time at Anheuser-Busch, where he led and worked in development, engineering, and technology operations.

Joplin brings more than 25 years of experience across multiple technology industries to CareCentrix. He also serves on the board at NPower and Access Point. Joplin earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

“I am excited to welcome Jon to our senior leadership team,” said CareCentrix CEO Steve Horowitz. “His proven leadership and approach to technology will be key to advancing innovation at CareCentrix as we continue expanding our in-home care solutions to address some of healthcare’s most pressing needs.”

“With CareCentrix’s proven leadership in care at home and Walgreens’ vast reach into communities, I see a great opportunity to move the industry forward and I’m excited to be part of this team,” said Joplin. “By ensuring we have the right technology and tools in place, CareCentrix can have an even greater impact on members’ lives.  I am excited to lead the advancement of our technology capabilities to further enable care at home opportunities.”
