Thurman Justice serves as senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer of GuideWell and Florida Blue. In this role, he has overall responsibility for the financial areas of the enterprise including: corporate accounting and financial reporting, tax, financial planning, procurement, corporate development and strategic investments, and Treasury and Investment Operations. Prior to joining GuideWell in 2019, Justice was Chief Financial Officer of Beacon Health Options, a behavioral health management company serving 40 million people in 50 states. In this role, he was responsible for leading all aspects of corporate finance, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and underwriting. Prior to that, he was chief financial officer of Senior Whole Health, a health care plan serving individuals who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.
Earlier in his career, Justice was vice president of operations at Travelers Insurance Company, and spent nearly a decade at Cigna Corporation, where he held a series of progressively responsible roles, culminating as controller and finance officer for the company’s health care division and its IT and operations organization.
Thurman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and is a certified public accountant.
