Jewell

Jewell is a Nurse Coach in the Post-Acute Care Program and brings more than 25 years of nursing experience to CareCentrix.

Jewell began her career as a certified nurse’s aide working for a nursing home in upstate New York. She developed a love of caring for the elderly and decided to go to nursing school at Maria College in Albany, NY. After graduating as an RN and working for 1 year on a cardiac unit at St Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY, Jewell began working as a Case Manager for home health care companies in New York City. She relocated to sunny Florida in 1999 and continued working in home health for over 24 years.

In 2016, Jewell was recruited by a travel nursing agency and was able to travel to Connecticut to work at Yale-New Haven Hospital as an Organ Transplant Coordinator providing care for patients from pre-transplant throughout post-transplant and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Jewell obtained her BSN in 2016 from Chamberlain School of Nursing graduating on the Dean’s list with honors. Jewell is now working at CareCentrix as a Nurse Coach and says she absolutely loves it. She calls herself “the nurse on the phone”.
