Anthony Masso

Anthony Masso’s dynamic career spans executive, strategic advisor, and board member roles in the payor, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), and the public sector. He served as president and CEO of Consortium Health Plans, the coalition of 20 leading Blue Cross Plans for eight years, and as a board director of Catamaran, a large public PBM. His public sector work includes a senior role with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service at the National Centers for Disease Control to eradicate Smallpox in Africa. His lifelong interest in and dedication to public health began early as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama led to many awards, including the Distinguished Service Award of the Secretary of HHS and recently the President’s Distinguished Alumni Award at his alma mater.

Anthony received an MBA from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island. He and his wife, Elaine, live in St. Michaels, Maryland and Juno Beach, Florida. He travels extensively with international assignments, speaks fluent Spanish, French, and some Italian. An avid sailor, art lover, sportsman, golfer, gardener, history and archeology fan, and professional photographer—he enjoys a broad spectrum of life.
